Dr. Stephen Pou ("Dr. Stephen") is a general dentist from Northern New Jersey whose clinical focus is regenerative, rehabilitative, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Stephen has been consistently recognized for a thorough, patient-focused approach and has excelled in providing an exceptional yet continually improving dental experience. Centered by a patient-doctor partnership approach, Dr. Stephen efficiently communicates and educates patients on their dental conditions to develop a tailored plan for treatment.
Education and Experience
Prior to joining the team at Monokian Dentistry, Dr. Stephen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Fairfield University, then continued his post-baccalaureate studies at Seton Hall University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry. Throughout his time at NYU Dental, he held multiple mentorship and teaching assistant roles and, in conjunction with Bellevue Hospital, provided care to victims of abuse and torture.
Dr. Stephen continues his dental training through rigorous specialized programs focused on implantology provided by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and other advanced training centers including Chicago/Toronto Implant Institute and USA Advanced Implant Institute. He implements modern, conservative and predictable techniques in restorative treatment, clear aligner orthodontic therapy, endodontic cases, surgical procedures to augment and guide bone and soft tissue growth, and replacement of teeth using implants.

When not in the office, you would likely find Dr. Stephen in the outdoors as he loves to hike, bike and fish. When at home, he is roasting coffee beans, making pizza dough, or listening to a great album.
