MEET OUR DENTAL HYGIENISTS
We are extremely proud of our hygienists. They’re highly skilled, have a wealth of experience, and are completely committed to providing excellent patient care. They are also a big reason why our doctors win numerous top dentists awards, year after year.
Summer: Clinical Teams Director / Registered Dental Hygienist
I began my dental career by completing the Dental Hygiene program at Camden County College in 2017, and went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from Rutgers School of Health Professions. While dental hygiene was my first passion, I also discovered a love for education and mentorship, which led me to my current role as Clinical Teams Director here at Monokian Dentistry. In this position, I have the privilege of working closely with our dental hygiene and dental assistant teams—leading trainings, supporting continuing education, and being a resource for their growth and success.
From the moment I joined Monokian Dentistry, I felt welcomed and supported. I am grateful to be part of a team that values both professional excellence and a strong sense of community.
Outside of work, my husband and I love outings with our golden retriever, Sunny. Whether we’re spending time at the shore, exploring the mountains of Pennsylvania, skiing, or checking out an unfamiliar destination, it’s always an adventure!
Carol: Registered Dental Hygienist
I started my career in 1989 and began working here four years later. I love being in an office with a family feel. Because I’m such a people person I enjoy treating patients of all ages and getting to know them and their families. I’ve made many friends over the years because of this job.
It’s a great feeling to help people improve their oral health and develop a long lasting dental relationship at the same time. Our doctors are terrific. They provide the most up-to-date dental treatment in a caring and compassionate way.
I am married and have two children. I’m involved in school activities and Girl Scouts and enjoy family time at the beach and in Vermont, biking, and gardening.
Linda: Registered Dental Hygienist
I started working here in 1982 shortly after starting my career in dental hygiene. I enjoy helping all of our patients achieve and maintain their dental health. There is nothing better than seeing someone realize that there’s nothing to be afraid of at our office. I love working with our doctors because they are so passionate about what they do. Excellent work is their goal all the time, which goes for our entire team.
I have been married for 24 years and have a teenage boy and a Yorkie. I am active in my community and am a committee member for Troupe 15 Boy Scouts. My hobbies include cooking, reading, and driving my son to all of his sporting events and activities.
Karen: Registered Dental Hygienist
I started working with Drs. Harry, David, and Michael in 1999 after starting out in dentistry in 1975. I love working in an office that provides high quality dental care. I also enjoy meeting the patients and getting to know them personally, along with educating them on how they can maintain good oral health.
I live in Mt. Laurel and have a daughter attending nursing school and a son getting his mechanical engineering degree. I’m very proud of them both.
Vanessa: Registered Dental Hygienist
Several years ago, I decided to make a big change and enter the dental field after having worked in Production in the film industry for 15 years. I wanted to change my career so that I could have a more fulfilled life by taking care of people and helping them to maintain or improve their health.
I truly enjoy getting to know my patients, educating them about proper oral care, and making them feel comfortable while in our office, and in the hygiene chair. I always aim to exhibit empathy and kindness so that patients can put their trust in me and the talented and compassionate dentists at Monokian.
In my free time, I enjoy do-it-yourself projects around the house, wining and dining with friends and family, warm weather bike rides and sunset walks with my dog.
Skylar: Registered Dental Hygienist
I became a hygienist in 2019. I was unsure of what path I wanted to take, but when I started hygiene school I instantly fell in love with dentistry. My favorite parts of my job are forming relationships with my patients, and helping patients understand their oral care.
When I'm not at work I love spending time with my boyfriend who I have been dating since high school, my mom, and my 2 cats. I am a cat mom to 2 Calico sisters. My boyfriend and I love fishing and walking trails in the woods in our spare time.
Michele: Registered Dental Hygienist
I started my hygiene career in 1999 and have loved it ever since. I recently joined the Monokian team and know I made the best choice. Finding an office with cutting edge dentistry and the warmth of a family practice is rare. But Monokian is that place.
When I am not working I love spending time entertaining my friends and family. I am a mom of three one girl and two boys. Now a Grandmom of one beautiful boy and one on the way! All who keep me busy and entertained.
Anita: Registered Dental Hygienist
In 2016, I moved from Kosovo to the United States to pursue my education. I knew very little about oral health, but I began educating myself and later enrolled in the dental hygiene program at Community College of Philadelphia. I joined Monokian Dentistry in 2023, and I am ecstatic to have found an excellent practice that offers cutting edge dentistry, but also maintains a family feel.
Every day I strive to learn more, to get to know my patients better, and to ensure they have an exceptional dental experience. When I am not practicing hygiene, I enjoy gardening, baking, and working on home projects. I make it a priority to visit my family overseas yearly, but most importantly I love to spend time with my baby girl and husband.
Alexis: Registered Dental Hygienist
I was born and raised here in South Jersey and attended the Dental Hygiene program at Camden County College. I graduated in 2014 and have been working in general dentistry ever since. I started with Monokian Dentistry in 2021, working only on Saturdays. After getting to know this incredible team and its wonderful patients, I decided to take on a more permanent part-time position.
My goals as a dental hygienist are to continue learning about how oral health relates to overall health, and to help patients achieve and maintain a smile that they are proud of. Working closely with the doctors and team at Monokian helps me to achieve these goals.
I currently reside in South Jersey with my husband, John, and our two sons, Johnny and Sean. Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, skiing, exercising and the beach.
Stacie: Registered Dental Hygienist
I was born and raised in South Jersey, and attended Washington Township High School. After graduating in 2004, I enrolled in a program at PB Cosmetology Education Centre in Gloucester City. I loved doing hair because it allowed me to truly get to know my clients, and help them look and feel their best.
After several years, I knew I wanted to explore a different career path, but continue to leverage what I learned and loved about cosmetology.
As a child I had a lot of negative dental experiences, and I know how traumatic that can be. I wanted to help others avoid what I went through, so I enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program at Camden County College. I graduated in 2014, and have been working as a dental hygienist ever since. In this role I'm not only able to help patients boost their self-confidence, but I can also help ease their dental fears and improve their oral health. I joined Monokian Dentistry in early 2025, and it’s a great fit because their values align with mine.
When I am not at work, I love to travel with my husband and hang out with our 4 fur babies. We own a small batch spirits company that keeps us very busy on our days off. We have 12 nieces and nephews who we adore. I also volunteer for local organizations to TNR local community cats and foster!
